Amanda Ensor
Senior Content and Learning Manager
Amanda Ensor is a seasoned educational leader and nationally recognized content expert with more than 20 years of experience in public education. She currently serves as the Senior Content and Learning Manager for TalkingPoints, an education non-profit dedicated to strengthening family–school partnerships through an innovative digital platform.
Prior to joining TalkingPoints, Amanda worked as a Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Specialist with Scholastic Inc. and served as the Title I Family Engagement Specialist for Queen Anne’s County Public Schools in Maryland from 2018–2022. She is also the founder of It Takes A Village, LLC, where she consults independently with districts and early childhood providers to advance school readiness and deepen family engagement practices.
Throughout her career, Amanda has supported districts and schools nationwide in implementing and enhancing best practices for family and community engagement. She has designed and facilitated professional learning for educators, administrators, and families on topics that directly impact student success. Her leadership extends to both the state and national level, where she has been a featured presenter for organizations such as the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Maryland ELL Family Involvement Network (MELLFIN), Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium (MAEC), National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), and the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE). She has also presented at major conferences, including the 2022 National ESEA Conference and the 2024 National Assembly for Family Engagement in Education.
Amanda began her career as an elementary teacher, teaching 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades, and was honored as the 2013 Queen Anne’s County Teacher of the Year. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Learning (K–8), a Master’s Degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy, and her Administration Certification.
At the core of her work is a clear mission: to help schools and districts cultivate strong, equitable partnerships between home and school, ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive—both academically and in life.
