Lisa’s professional background includes extensive experience in the educational sector, having worked as both a Foreign Language teacher and a Professional Development Trainer. She also spent eight years as an Adult ESL Instructor, teaching English as a Second Language to non-English speakers. Her passion for language is deeply rooted, and she possesses a strong understanding of the communication barriers that can arise due to language differences.
Lisa has served as a District Parent Engagement Coordinator, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges faced by teachers, administrators, and parents when trying to support students in overcoming language barriers. As a child of two Cuban immigrants herself, Lisa deeply resonates with and understand the urgency of TalkingPoints’ mission.
Lisa holds a Master’s in Training and Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish Education. She is excited to merge her skills and passion for helping others to enhance the value and impact of TalkingPoints.
